I looked through the Yancey photo archives & found all of these pictures of Jason.  Some old & some new, in no specific order.  We love you!

While looking through the pictures I found this picture & it made me laugh because it was taken a few days after I got my tummy tuck.  I was all drugged up on pain medication & couldn't stand up straight yet.  It actually took me about 2 months to be able to stand up straight.

watch out!

I might turn into a crazy lady in the next month!  This is also way too much info but you know I like to share stuff so here you go.  I just think I need to warn anyone that I might come into contact with in the next month because my hormones are getting a kick in the butt.  I've basically been having a period for the past THREE freaking weeks & it hasn't been light, if ya know what I mean.  I went to the doctor where I felt like I got violated.  I really don't like going to this type of doctor.  He had to take a sample of my uterus & he's testing some other things.  Luckily the ultrasound didn't show anything weird so he said it's likely a hormone thing.  I've always HATED birth control but he suggested I give it a try.  He has me on a double dose of birth control for one month & then a regular dose for two months.  I'm willing to try anything to get this to STOP.  I told him surgery does not scare me & that I'm ready for a hysterectomy.  I'm ready to take drastic measures because my body is freaking out.  That's all.  Thanks for listening to me complain.

I Search Projects

Camden wanted to find a way to make crystals.  He used alum (spice section) & grew some cool crystals!

Caleb's project was to find out how touch screens work.  Caleb was EXCITED & nervous for the I Search project fair.  A mixture of excitement & nerves brings out an interesting side of Caleb.  I'll leave it at that!  I LOVE how he wanted people to leave comments.
He was so proud of his project.  He hung the iPad from it so people could test it out.  Of course I forgot my camera!  Jason took these pics from his phone.  Note to self... Do NOT put Jason in charge of taking the pictures!

Kody & Mom

Thanks to Caleb for taking pics of us!  The bottom picture is our reenactment of the famous You Tube hit "Charly bit my finger".  Kody loves it.  I've been a little obsessed with the Shaytards on You Tube.  At first I was put off by the name because I thought they were saying Shaytards as in retards & retard is not my favorite word but then somehow I got hooked.  They do a daily vlog.  I look forward to getting in bed at night, turning on the iPad & checking out what the Shaytards have been up to.  They really should have used a different name.  I did find out they are Mormons so this made it even more intriguing for me to watch.  They are obnoxious but so am I.  It's fun to see what they are up to.  I'm off to get Keaton ready for his third girl birthday party this week.  Jason said "Keaton you got another invitation for a party" & Keaton responded with "Yeah they are my girls.  I like 'em".

It's cold outside!

It's cold so we've been snacking on Cheetos & sharing them with the neighborhood kids.  I really love this neighborhood.  We are not sure that we want to move anymore.  We went through a little phase last fall where I felt like I wanted to move to the area I grew up in & then we thought about moving to Kamas, but now we are back to not moving.  We are weird!  We are the people that one day don't ever want a dog & then the next day we buy a big, black hairy dog.  I like us & the way we do things.  Life would be boring if it was so predictable & planned.  I'm happy that we are mostly spontaneous with a touch of organization going on.

We've been baking & eating more cookies than is healthy. Caleb needs more fat on his body to keep him warm so it's o.k that he does most of the cookie eating.  The above pictured cookie is actually from Mrs. Fields.  I met my BFFs @ South Towne Mall today. Fun little place to play with the kids on a cold day!  Kody terrorized a few kids but I sat away from him & pretended he wasn't mine so I didn't have to deal with it.  Really I did this!  I'm a really good mom!

We've all been playing on the computer, iPad, iTouches & nintendo!  I said I would never ever let my kids play games all day long.  It's so cold outside though!  They still play, read, wrestle & all that good stuff, but games are now a part of the Yancey family!

I've been prepping the office so I can paint it.  Someone is sneaking in the office & pulling off my tape!  If only I could just finish.  It did take me an entire year to finally finish paining the laundry room apple green!  I do love my apple green in the laundry room.  It makes it a happy place for me to be.  I actually don't mind laundry all that much anymore.  OH & I have figured out laundry.  I might have already blogged this but this is what I do... I do NOT pull a load out of the dryer unless I'm ready/ in the mood to fold it & put it all away!  In the past I would do laundry all day & pile it on my bed to only be too tired to put it away at the end of the day, so it would then go on the floor.  It would put me in a depression & then the entire house would fall apart.  Finally I have this figured out!  So simple.  Hallelujah!  Dare I say that laundry is now my friend?!

random...

This pollution crap is no good!  I can seriously feel it in my chest.  I really hate it.  Marty on GTU was talking about how yucky it is & that you should keep your kids inside.  I'm thinking we should move to Kamas where the air is clean & the town is small.

My kids have been very interested in cooking lately.  I've allowed them to go to town & I'm proud of myself for it because it can get messy.  We need to have some lessons on how to clean the kitchen but I'm afraid they won't want to cook as much if I get all naggy about the clean up.  We'll take that part slow.  They've been making their own breakfasts lately.  Caleb is a pro at making his own sandwiches & cakes, Camden is pretty good at making nachos.  Keaton & Kody are peeling oranges.  I love it!  I can't wait to teach them how to do everything on their own so I can sit around all day long.  Bwaahaahaaha!

I'm so very happy to report that I've decided not to mock Kody anymore when he says he hates me.  I've decided to pop him in the mouth.  Don't worry I'm not abusing him; I'm just letting him know that this HATE talk is no longer acceptable!  I don't do it all hard.  I just do it enough to get  his attention.  He was saying "I hate you" at least 100 times a day!  Yesterday he only said it twice & he hasn't said it at all today!!!  He even said "sorry".  What?  He's been so sweet.  Looks like love & logic doesn't work with this boy but a pop in the mouth does.

Do not ever buy a kodak easy share camera!  I should have known this after the first two broke but then I went for another one & then another one.  I thought it was just because we were hard on them but I've learned that they just suck!  So now I'm without a camera again!  I need to do some research on a different camera.

**i have removed the hooker paragraph** helloooo to me... this is a family blog!  sheesh i need to keep it clean! sometimes i have a hard time with the censor:)!

Kody & Halle

Today Kody finally got to play with Halle, his favorite person in the world. He can be feisty so when I saw her on the bike & his arms around her I thought he was doing something mean but I was happy that instead he was hugging her & I even heard him say "I love you. You're my best friend". They played so cute. He's a different kid when she's around. We need to figure out a way to play more.

Funny & weird.. I'm confused!

So we had some CRAZY neighbors that moved!  I really wanted to try with them but they were just crazy.  Well at least the mom was crazy.  I met the cute new family that moved in & she was telling me how the previous owner pointed to my house & my two neighbors houses & said "Don't ever let them know you have valuables".  What the crap?  I've borrowed and egg or some sugar from a neighbor once or twice but you certainly don't need to hide your valuables from us.  I'm starting to think the detective that I helped to catch her thief son might have outed me or something.  I don't know but it's pretty weird to hear that someone has said something so off about you.  I need to just get over it because I know she's crazy.  She fought with everyone in the neighborhood.  I heard her and one neighbor screaming at each other one day.  It had something to do with the crazy lady leaving her cats out all the time or something.  Anyway, hallelujah that they have moved.  I feel like I can go in my front yard now & not have to get mean looks from the crazy people.  I think it's always been frustrating to me because I can get along with anyone.  It's my talent!  I can strike up a conversation with anyone at anytime & we can become friends but not hat beyotch!  Oh well.  I'll continue using my "talent" & not feel offended because someone doesn't like me.

Camden

Camden was moved to a new class.  Camden & another boy in his old class were just bad for each other.  They brought out the bad & NO good.  After lots of trips to the principal's office & even some in school suspension we suggested he get moved away from this boy.  We haven't had one complaint since!  He even comes home from school and comments about how this other boy is still getting in trouble & he's glad he's not anymore.  It's hard to watch them go through this stuff but I'm so glad he seems to be figuring it out on his own.  It's in his nature to tease but I can definitely see that he's finally starting to understand that he doesn't always need to be the kid running the show.  He even got 100% on his last spelling test.  I'm very proud of the good choices he's trying hard to make!

Kody

Right now Kody is still doing his I hate you stuff.  He says it like he's joking half the time but sometimes he's really just mean and I think he really hates me.  I tried to ignore him but that didn't work.  I tried to put him in time out but that didn't work.  I tried to yell at him & tell him its rude but that didn't work.  I tried to pretend like I was crying & told him he was hurting my feelings but guess what?  It didn't work!  I've moved on to a really mature way of handling it.  I  mock him!  Yep I mock my 3 year old.  When he says "I hate you".  I copy him in a really annoying voice.  Well it appears that this is not working either.  I'm thinking hot sauce or back to ignoring it all the time again.
He really does have a sweet side & it's not just when he's asleep:)!  He has a shy side & gets all whispery (made up that word) & quiet, especially around girls.  If I've been out I always come home to a big greeting from him.  "MOM, you're home".  He wraps his arms around my leg & I love it.  It's moments like this where I know he really does love me.  He loves playing on my Ipad & is a total pro!  Sometimes we think he can actually read.

Keaton

I took Keaton, Kody, Eli & Elle (kids I babysit) to Discovery Gateway yesterday.  I lost track of Keaton & finally found him with a bunch of girls playing in the pretend kitchen.  I love that he's into that stuff.  Keaton has always loved music & LOVES dancing.  This boy can feel that music.  If you could see him dance you'd know what I was talking about.  He has a mix of robot/ modern dance going on.  I'll have to sneak it on video one day.  We love his personality & how he brings a bit of calm to a pretty crazy house!

Caleb

Caleb & Camden have I Search projects due at school today.  I put Jason in charge of helping them with this because I didn't want to and I thought it would be fun for them.  Last night they put the finishing touches on the projects (I'll take pictures at the school fair) & then Caleb practiced giving his presentation to me & I burst out in tears as he was giving it.  There is just something about Caleb that gets me a little emotional sometimes.  I guess it's because he's my first born.  He just seemed so mature as he read all the big words and I was so proud of  him.  He's such a sweet kid!  The other night me and Jason were arguing & Jason was being a big poop (I admit it's because I woke him up & yelled at him for not getting the kids in bed so I could finish cleaning up).  Caleb comes out of his room & says "Mom you can sleep in my bed tonight & we should go on a date.. just the two of us".  He knew I was upset and he just wanted to make it all better.  Another cute Caleb thing was last night he told Jason he wanted him to set his alarm for 7am so they could get up and make breakfast & eat together before school.  It's a little sad to see him growing up so fast but it's so nice to see the boy he's becoming!

Movie:)! & stuff...

I don't want to out a certain person that I forced to see an R rated movie with me, but just know a certain person came with me and we laughed until we cried!  We saw No Strings Attached & LOVED every second of it.  We ate popcorn with butter on top & an extra large soda.  Guy Branum was in the movie.  He opened for Chelsea Handler when I went to her show.  I'm now in love with Ashton Kutcher.  Natalie Portman was amazing.  I highly recommend that you go see this movie!  I want someone to make me a period mix!  Definitely my kind of movie!

I don't know why in the world Keaton and Kody have suddenly decided that getting insanely hyper at bedtime is a great idea.  Starting tomorrow I am going to get these crazy boys back on a schedule.  I love to hear them giggling and having fun but they are literally bouncing off the walls and flipping off of their beds.  I'd like to see them do this at noon instead of at midnight.

I can't believe I'm blogging right now when I have a Bachelor to watch!

We have new neighbors.  I found them on facebook before even meeting them.  Kind of weird that we are facebook friends before actually meeting but this is the world we live in now.

I love my Ipad!  Today was a beautiful day.  It felt like Spring.  I walked Keaton to school and picked him up from school on my bike.  While he was gone I cleaned out our garage (i'll do anything to avoid inside housework).  My Ipad kept me from getting bored.  It's become my best friend when I'm cleaning and doing projects.  I LOVE listening to podcasts & Pandora while I get my stuff done.  The tricky thing is to keep Keaton and Kody away from it.  That's why it was so nice on Saturday to have a few hours to cook and clean while listening to my favorite things.  I don't know how I ever lived without it!

It's midnight and Kody is awake but he finally just climbed up on lap and snuggled in.  Time to turn off the computer and enjoy this child while he is calm, sleepy & snuggly!  I seem to love being a mom the most when I get a little me time once in a while.  A few hours on Saturday and getting to see a hilarious movie tonight is just what I needed.

Free at last!!!

I desperately needed our house to myself!  I just wanted to clean & cook in a quiet house so Jason took the boys on an adventure is his "new" truck.  They think this old truck is the greatest thing on earth.  Lady Elaine was happy to jump in too!  She sheds like crazy so she's not allowed in my sweet mini van.  Jason took them to shoot bb guns, bows and arrows & they even roasted hotdogs.  They came home after about 4 hours & I was bummed.  I wanted them gone longer!  I really enjoyed my quiet house.  I love that Keaton & Kody enjoy hanging out with me all the time but sometimes I must move freely throughout my house without tripping over them.  Thanks to Camden for remembering to take the camera to document the fun adventure.

Sleepovers with cousins & stuff...

I'm really not sure what Tanner & Cam were doing but it required serious faces.
I took a few of these guys all dressed up in my blue painters tape.  They really didn't have anything on underneath!  This was the only picture that was even slightly o.k to post!  I'm glad that they can get creative on a rainy day but next time they must ask for the tape.  I finally got more so maybe just maybe I'll actually paint the room!

Here's another lovely thing they did to entertain themselves.  They brought Camden's mattress downstairs and did flips onto it.

Yay for blue skies!  After freezing weather and yucky colds we were more than excited to see blue skies!

Don't tell our neighbors but they are our of town so we sneaked into their backyard and jumped on their trampoline.  The little blond boy is Eli.  I get to babysit him 3 days a week & I love it.  He's so sweet and cute!

I've been getting scooter lessons from Caleb on the trail by our house.  He's really not that into hanging out with friends but he loves hanging out with me!  I'm so lucky!  The other day he packed up a backpack for our scooter adventure.  He had apples and an apple slicer inside.

Christmas morning

Don't cry Jason.  You'll have some presents under the tree, or do you look so emotional because you realized that buying an Ipad for me and two Ipod touches was more than we can afford & now it's too late to go back?

It was hard for Camden to get his gifts open fast enough with that pesky temporary cast!

Keaton was very happy with his soft blue hat.  In case you didn't know.. BLUE is his very favorite color!

I LOVE this man!  He stayed up until 3am painting the used locker/dresser we bought off ksl.  The previous owner had drawn some interesting pictures on the locker door.  We had to scrub off a big penis with a mr. clean magic eraser.

Santa's Elves did it again!  Every single year they drop a gift on the roof.  It's a good thing we checked & that it didn't snow on our present.  Inside we found an Ipad for ME, two Ipod touches & a race car track.

Keaton got a few soft blue things & a blue race car!

Bored of blogging...

Has this really happened to me? YES it has!  Maybe it's because it's private & I know nobody looks at it.  I guess it's more fun (heard funner is now a word) to blog when you know people are reading.  I have some great pictures to post but instead I'm off to catch up on some DVR before I get ready to go turn in our pathfinder!  YAY it's time to say goodbye to the leased car.  We only had to pay for it for one year out of the three we had it but that one year was pricey!  To go from NEVER paying for insurance, gas or the payment & them BAM there it is.  Jason got an old truck (way more his style than a nice car) & then spent the entire weekend in the garage with his bro. Phill fixing it.  Nice of Phill & I'm glad Jason likes to do that stuff but I'm not gonna lie, I was bugged.  I wanted me some Jason time!  I whined to him that I was bored & now he's been almost too attentive!  I'm so behind on my DVR.  He wants to chat all the time.  I love it but I'm really not used to it.  Jason is not boring.  He's fun.  I should not have told him he was boring because he really just wasn't feeling well.  So please check back for some interesting pictures.  I'll give you a hint... They involve covering private parts, blue tape & some kids that found something to do on a rainy day.

Aspirin Toner

I can't stop. I found this one that looked cool too. A few weeks ago I broke out so bad when I was having my period. Now I'm on a mission to stop it from ever happening again. I'm drinking lots of water and now with these helpful You Tube videos I should have beautiful skin. We'll see...

Helpful info...

Guess what folks, I found my camera! How did it suddenly appear in the middle arm rest thing that I'd looked in? This happens to me quite often. Things magically appear in places I've already looked. Now I can't find the little cord that hooks it to the computer. I'll post some Christmas morning pics of that later. I love do it your self home remedies. While laying in my warm and comfy bed this morning I somehow found myself on the peta.org website, which led me to lots of interesting videos on You Tube. Here's one I'll be trying.

A little random going on....

I really don't have anything interesting to blog about.  I'm really pissed about my missing camera!  Why do I have so many camera problems?  I guess I need to go spend ANOTHER $100 on a camera!  I forgot to get one at Kohl's when they were on sale.  Blogging just isn't fun for me unless I have a camera.  Right now I want to catch up but Caleb has his radio on way too loud & I can't think!
Jason came home early from work on Friday because he was sick.  I was so bummed that he was sick because I desperately needed to break free of my house!!!  I've never gone to a movie by myself but I was tempted.  Instead I went to a few stores & talked on the phone with friends.  It was a really boring weekend!  We did make it to Caleb's basketball game on Saturday where we realized we need to do a bit more practicing at home.  He got confused a few times out on the court because he wasn't sure who he was blocking.  It's so unbelievably hard as a parent to watch your child get that insecure look on their face.  He does seem to like basketball.
So Jason was still sick on Saturday & I felt like I would DIE of boredom!  I can't handle everyone sitting around and watching TV.  I ended up sick after church on Sunday.  It was really horrible & it made me feel bad for Jason.  I made up a nice cocktail of various medications & I went to sleep at 8:00.  I woke up feeling pretty good.  Hurray!
Jason made a carrot cake on Sunday afternoon while I was taking a nap.  He put a thin layer of delicious cream cheese frosting on top & then went to Home Depot to get a few things while the cake cooled down.  I wasn't doing a very good job of keeping and eye on the kids since my head hurt SOOO freaking bad.  While he was gone Kody decided he wanted some frosting so he licked off the frosting and took a few handfuls of the cake.  Poor Jason worked so hard on that cake.  I'm not afraid of Kody germs so I still ate some.  It was delicious!
Keaton has his preschool Christmas program tonight.  His teacher had to reschedule it because she got strep throat.  Keaton LOVES to perform.  He did a really good job at the Halloween program so I can't wait to see him get all into it tonight.  Too bad I don't have a good camera to document the occasion.
The Bachelor is on tonight!  I seriously need counseling.  Why do I love this cheesy show so much?  Jason should be happy when it's on because I get all in the mood, but instead he HATES this show.  It's right up there with Oprah on his list of shows he hates.
When I was all sick in bed yesterday Kody came in to see me & I told him my head hurt.  He put his hand on my head & said it was burning his fingers.  He got this sweet concerned look on his face & said "It's o.k Mom, Don't be sad.  I'll make you all safe".  He sat there and played with my hair & said sweet things to me.  It's a dang good thing that I have these sweet moments to reflect on because most of the time he's yelling at me that I'm a baby or that he hates me.
O.K so that's all I have to report about right now.  Obviously my life is quite boring at the moment.  Oh this a random post so I have one more thing.  I bought some paint for my office.  It's a greenish color & I love it.  A sweet bubbly little lady from my ward has it in her office so she was kind enough to share the color with me.  I can't wait to get started on it.  I need a good project in January to keep me from going crazy.  Jason's previous employer paid for his car but it was a lease in his name for 3 yrs.  We finally get to turn it in at the end of the month.  Paying $599 a month for a car really isn't fun!!!!!  Jason is looking for a little truck & we are going to sell our trailer.  That stinkin' trailer BUGS me.  It sits on our driveway & I don't like it.  Jason won't move it.
I think this post wins for the lamest post of my entire blogging history.  I'm off to make some funeral potatoes to go along with the ham we are having for dinner.

Bachelor thoughts...

So let's just get started here....

-That slap looked hard! Not nice. The girl that slapped him is really pretty though. I'm guessing she'll be around for a while.
-I'm embarrassed for dentist girl and her undie dance. She looks fun but needs to tone down her excitement! She could end up being the obsessed one this season.
-What the hell is up with vampire teeth? These producers are good. They always find the WTF chick & I love them for it!
-Catch me girl.... Really?
-Brad was not the most hated man in America. That's just dumb to say! A man that Couldn't commit is just a man that can't commit. He has issues with his dad that abandoned him. Poor Brad. I feel bad for him.
-I noticed some immediate chemistry between Brad & Jackie (girl in yellow dress/ pinky swear girl) when she got out of the limo. She'll be around for a while.
-I'm surprised he gave the first impression rose to NY girl. I don't see it.
-I like that there's a girl from SLC. She seems a little crazy though. I want to hear more of her story. I might need to do some in depth research/ googling;).

I still can't find my camera. I lost it on Christmas day. My resolution is to stick to my tiny little budget for 90 days. I have to prove that I can do this! Unfortunately a camera is not in my tiny budget. Looks like stories of my children will be on hold, and reviews of my beloved show will take their place:). Please feel free to share your thoughts on this lovely show. Jason should be happy it's back on if ya known what I mean;). Too bad my sister Marci doesn't watch since she's one of my only commenter's. Suzi, please share your thoughts. Thanks:).
