Famous Clothes

Keaton comes up with interesting clothing choices all the time but today he insisted on wearing the below outfit to church.  None of my pictures turned out all that great so I just posted all of them.  To top off the outfit he wanted a toothpick in his mouth.  I'm still not sure why.  I hope it wasn't a pretend cigarette.  He also has some cool poses for the camera.  He insisted the tie be hooked onto the undershirt with a few buttons undone.  You can't see in the pictures but he also had different colored socks on. He felt cool & actually had an interesting way of walking in this outfit!

Lagoon-A-Beach

Only a few weeks ago Kody would stand back & watch cautiously as his brothers frolicked in the Lagoon fountain, but as you can see, he's now a full blown dare devil!!!  I've become a big fan of the "wife beater" t-shirt for the boys.  It's a great & cheap summer shirt.  We sort of fit in at Lagoon with all the people covered in tattoos (nothing against tattoos... apparently Jason thinks he belongs in a tribe w/ his arm band he got when he was 17).  After seeing some very interesting tattoos I told the boys we should cover them with the fake ones just to fit in.

Camden lost his arm sling in the lazy river so I told him to be extra careful.  We use the buddy system at Lagoon & I saw his buddy sitting on the bridge so I went over to see where Camden went & he pointed to this slide.  The doctor said he can't take swimming lessons or ride a bike but apparently going full speed down a water slide is o.k in his mind.  Luckily he didn't get hurt & lucky for me I snapped this picture to show what an awesome mom I am to let my child with a gimpy arm go down this.  I remember leaving the hospital when each of my kids were born thinking... "really, they just let me leave w/ this human being".  Are they crazy?!

This picture is so cute until you look closely and see all the fishy crackers in their teeth.

Keaton was having fun making funny faces & practicing "extreme" moves while going down the little slides.  He always stops at the top of the slide before going down to make sure I'm watching him.

We brought one of Cam's BFFs w/ us.  He met Tommy a few years ago in preschool.  They get along great!  I begged Tommy's mom to buy him a Lagoon pass so he could come with us.  Lucky for us she did it so now Camden will always have a friend to bring along!

Hahaha!  These two wanted me to take pics of them that would look cool for their facebook profile.

This picture was taken after 4 hours of Lagoon-A-Beach FUN.  They were tired & hungry.

Friend Camp.. week 3

Wow this camp idea has been so much fun!!  Today Alena (Braeger's mom) helped the kids make pillows out of bandanas & they also made little pretend fire things with sticks, sand & rocks.  Here are a few of them showing off their pillows.  They were all so proud of their projects!

Camp Tracy 2011

I had so much fun with the Scouts again this year.

Happy Fathers Day!!!

Happy Fathers Day to Jason!!!  We all went to JC Penny yesterday to buy him some new dress shirts.  They are a highly suggested dress shirt from a Dad on one of the blogs I read.  The boys also picked out an Angry Birds T-shirt & a Batman T-shirt for him.  We finally framed his law diploma for him to hang in his new office.  He got some hot sauce & mustard because lately his favorite snack is mixing them & eating it with hotdogs.  We made him a candy bar poster that he loved!  Caleb is a total pro at coming up with good sayings to go along with the poster.  He got sunflower seeds, diet pepsi & ding dongs.  We also made him roast & mashed potatoes & gravy.  He's been under stress lately with work stuff so it's nice to give him a day where he can just relax and let us pamper him.  Note to self... Do NOT ever take all four boys to the mall at the same time ever again!!!!  They got in BIG trouble when we got to the car!  My patience was tested & I failed the test!  I freaked out & then felt like an abuser because I felt so bad for getting so angry.  I made them go to two more stores with me to prove that they know how to behave like good little boys & then when we got home they all had to stay in their rooms for an hour!  I'm so mean but I really hope they learned a lesson about behaving better at the store so I can actually think about what I'm there for.  At least we got it all done & Jason is having a nice & relaxing day!  He deserves it!  We love you!!!!

Friend Camp 2011

One day I was talking to my friend about different camps we could sign our kids up for.  I was telling her that I looked into a science camp but it was $150 for each kid & with four kids I just can't afford it.  We decided that we could do our own neighborhood camp & take turns.  I sent out a few emails & lots of moms signed up & now our camp has 22 kids!  It's soooo much fun!  I love doing stuff like this!  Every Friday of summer the little campers meet at a different "camp director"/ mom's house & she puts on her own idea of whatever camp she wants.  This camp is for FUN memories NOT stress.  Camp can be anything the "camp director" feels like doing.  This week our new neighbor Jeni made the cutest camp flag that she actually sewed.  All the kids drew their faces on a square.  I'll get a close up picture of the flag because it's so cute to see the different personalities of the kids.  She also had the kids make duct tape bags!  They are so darn cute!  I keep thinking of more ideas for camp stuff to do but I already had my turn.  Now I get to sit back & relax while everyone else does theirs.

Good times in the summer...

Camden is enjoying the attention his sling brings but NOT the pain.  Poor kid keeps knocking his arm into things or we keep bumping him.  Yesterday the doctor said it's healing up good so that if he's extra careful he'll only need to wear the sling for 4 weeks.  The Rigby's brought over this cool plane for him; Grace brought him an envelope full of change; Lauren brought him a candy bar; Cole brought him some cool treasures & the Leishman family brought him a BIG bag full of treats, a movie & things to do!  Lucky boy.  Now Caleb wants to break his arm.

We are lucky to have Halle & Crew over for a few days so I pulled out the craft box & they are having some fun!

I'm so lucky to have Keaton as my interior decorator!  I find wonderful decor like this all over the house:)!

Lady Elaine is shedding like crazy so I haven't let her in the house for a while.  I didn't realize how much nasty fur was all over the yard until I sat crew out there with a popsicle!  He was covered in yucky dog hair.

Keaton really loves these jammies & decided to add some accessories.  It's almost 3:00pm & he still has them on.  He's played in the water & in the sandbox with these jammies on today.

If you want to know how to entertain kids all day just ask me.  I have lots of sneaky ideas!!!  Today I let them play with Dexter the guinea pig but Dexter had his own little sneaky plans.  He wiggled out of their arms & into the bushes to never be found again!  They've been looking for him for over an hour & have been busy making traps.  I'm not sure my flowers will survive the Dexter survival efforts!

Seriously it does NOT get any cuter than watching these two little cousins play.  I've heard them saying the sweetest things to each other.  They are best friends!

Yep!  It looks like my flowers are not going to survive.  I'm sitting here blogging & this little dude brought be the mother of all flowers.  He was so proud!

Summer FUN!

We've been so busy that I haven't had time to find my camera, charge it & take pics to document our FUN summer.  So far this is what we've been up to... Jason starts at a new firm tomorrow.  The office is in Clearfield so we are excited to see him more!

We spent a day at Lagoon.  It wasn't very busy so we were able to go on lots of rides without waiting in line.  It was even a little chilly & rainy, which I prefer over going on a hot day.  They kids played in the fountain & got soaking wet right before we left.  They were the only kids crazy enough to play in the fountain on a chilly day.

We are doing a neighborhood camp that we are calling "Friend Camp".  Ten different neighbors picked a Friday throughout the summer to do their camp.  I got the first camp where we made tye dyed t-shirts & stamped their hand print & name on them.  I ironed on a Friend Camp 2011 sticker thing.  They also made bead necklaces, played in the sandbox/ "dinosaur dig", ate snacks & got prizes for finding hidden things in the sandbox.  My camp was a success.  I think all the kids had lots of crazy fun!

After camp, Camden got to go to Lagoon all day with his friend Cole.  He even slept over at Cole's house that night!  The next morning he rode Cole's cool motor dirt bike & took a dare from some old guy on the trail to go over a jump, where he landed on his arm & BROKE it.  We have an appt. today with an orthopedic doctor so we'll see exactly what the damage is & how long he'll need to be in a sling.  They won't cast it because of where it's broken.

Tanner slept over the other night & we made a picnic to go eat at the zoo but the zoo was CRAZY busy so we went to Liberty Park instead.  That park almost has as good of people watching as Lagoon!  I kept a very close eye on the boys while we were there.  I was glad Tanner was with me to help.  As crazy as that place is they still have a very cool park that the kids loved!

Tomorrow we get to watch Halle & Crew while Angie is at girls camp.  We can't wait to have them all to ourselves for two days!  Next week Angie will watch Keaton & Kody for a few days while I take my Wolf Scouts to camp.  Caleb & Camden get to come.  Poor Camden probably won't have as much fun since his arm is in a sling.

So there is our quick summer update for now.  We are off to have more summer fun.  BYE.
