Jacob's Run

We had planned to go out of town for the weekend but after seeing my entire neighborhood work so hard for Jacob's Run, I decided the weekend trip needed to get cancelled & we needed to stay & enjoy the race! Camden is the only one in our family that woke up early enough to run the race. He actually rode his scooter.  Jacob is the SWEETEST boy ever.  He really has the face of an angel & watching him cross the finish line first in his wheelchair with his dad running him was something I'll never forget.  Jason looked at me like I was nuts because I nearly went into the ugly cry.
The young women earned money for Jacob with face paining.  I can't believe how still Kody sat to get it done.

I'm so proud of Camden for wanting to do the race.

This is Cole, Sybil (bishop's wife & the Bear leader), me & Camden showing off our freezer pop holders.

Camden & one of his favorite friends, Cole.  Cole is also one of my favorite kids around!  SWEET kid.  His sister choked on a hair clip a few weeks ago & was taken in an ambulance.   I witnessed Cole finding out that she'd thrown up the clip & would be o.k.  He broke down in tears because he was so relieved.  It was a tender thing to see & I just love this kid!

Have you ever played on one of these slides?  I'm so sad that I didn't try this earlier.  Sybil & I only go to go down twice before they took it down.  It was far more fun than I could have ever imagined & I'll never ever turn down the chance to play on one of these again!!!  That's me on the left & crazy Sybil on the right.  She really got some air!  I look like I have horns.

Cole's sister, Grace... Another one of my favorite neighborhood kids!

Another picture of the holders.  I loved how creative the Scouts were with decorating them.  Not one of them looked the same.

Way to go CAM! That is awesome that your neighborhood did such an incredible event. And who wouldn't buy an Otter Pop holder! Those things are genius! I wish I has a set!!
